There are those who decry the preaching of the cross and the shedding of Jesus' blood as the single portal through which all must pass to enter into everlasting LIFE with the Father.
Those folks who make such an outcry have undoubtedly never had occasion to read or study the ancient writings of God through a man called Moses, some 6000 years before the advent of Christ:

Lev 17:11
11 'For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.'
(NKJ)

It seems to me that this scripture is an EXACT depiction of the Crufixtion. If you have had occasion to see Mel Gibson's "R" rated movie "The Passion of the Christ" you will no doubt understand the references to blood Christianity makes regarding the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

In Leviticus, Moses tells us that LIFE of the flesh is in the blood, and that God has given it (Jesus' blood) upon the altar (the cross) to make atonement for our souls; for it is the BLOOD that makes atonement for the soul.

Now, maybe having the sin of your soul paid for is not such a big deal to you, however to me, it is the very basic difference of living the rest of my life here on this earth in peace with both my Creator and myself and dying my way into eternal joy, and living the rest of this life in the Hell I have created for myself, and dying my way into eternal Hell.

I don't know if that is such a big deal to you or not, but it surly is to me. And if it takes a little SLAUGHTER HOUSE religion to accomplish the transformation.........

Jesus told Nicademus, "You Must be born again to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven" Nicademus was already one of the most righteous and holy people on the earth at that time, and He sitll need Jesus' Slaughter House religion to into eternal peace and joy.
